Sacred Journey
....No two human journeys are
ever
the same. There are many streams that flow
into the mighty rivers, many
rivers
that run into the sea, and many vast oceans.
There is only one sky. The
ancient water that exists in all of these diverse places
around our Mother Earth is like
humanity. Though at times it is separated and
on opposite sides of the world,
it really is still all connected.... as are we.......
Shadows
....It's easy to hide in the
shadows,
to conceal your true identity from others, and
even yourself. Ever played
'hide and seek'? Remember when you found that
perfect hiding
place
and nobody could find you? You'd stay hidden until it was
time for the game to end, and
even
then you didn't want to come out, for fear
you'd give away your great
spot!
We can sometimes find places within ourselves
that are like this. Places
to hide our shadows. We often hide them so well that
even we can't find them, much
less
anyone else.......
Relatives
....All creation moves and dances
in the same circle of life. The rocks, the waters,
the clouds, the trees, the
grasses,
the birds, the four legged creatures, the insects,
the water dwellers, you, and
I....
are all interconnected within this great circle of
creation. The heartbeat of
Mother Earth is the very heartbeat that thumps within
your chest and in the rhythms of
everything in our natural world. This is one of
the symbolisms of the sacred drum
at the center of our gathering circle.... it is
the heartbeat. The rock is
made of earth and minerals, and so are we.......
